Sabah, the second largest in the Federation of Malaysia, has the South China Sea on its western flank, and the Sulu Sea on the east,Sabah's more recent history can be traced back to 1881 when the British North Borneo Company was set up to rule North Borneo. After World War II ,the British returned and turned Sabah into a Crown colony.
